The Panel Demonstration Program
-------------------------------

The Panel program simulates a simple text readout of an LED sign. The
display, which appears in the Watch view, is an array of dots, or
pixels, that can be turned on and off by setting the proper bits in
memory. A variable named "panel" simulates the LED display using an
array of ASCII characters. This variable represents lit, or on, pixels
with the # character and represents unlit, or off, pixels with a space.

To run the program:

1. Open panel.c and put breakpoints at "main()", "display_str( 0, ptr->text, 1 )",
and "display_last( *text++ )".

2. Save the file and build the panel project.

3. Download panel.out to your target and then run it from the Run Kernel
Tasks dialog.

4. Type "panel" into the Watch view, and click the plus sign to expand it.

5. To watch the text scroll by, click the Resume icon in the Debug view.
The text moves each time you hit the "display_last" breakpoint. To
watch the display scroll continuously, right-click the "display_last"
breakpoint, select Breakpoint Properties, check Continue on Break,
change the delay to 50, then click OK.
